SOBRE MAURÍCIO CLAUZET

Nascido em 16 de janeiro de 1969. Engenheiro de produção mecânica, formado pela EESC-USP em 1991. Mestrado em Engenharia, mesclando Engenharia e Desenvolvimento de Software com Planejamento, Programação e Controle da Produção (PCP) 1993 também na EESC-USP.

Gosta da interdisciplinaridade e da diversidade, trabalhou em diversas áreas e em várias funções. Já trabalhou como engenheiro em grandes empresas, como a Siemens e a Microsoft, e por outro lado já trabalhou também como torneiro mecânico e operador de empilhadeira. Também passa pela experiência de como consultor trabalhar dentro de diversas grandes empresas. Já morou no exterior a trabalho, nos Estados Unidos e na Irlanda.

Hoje com 47 anos, pratica de forma intensa e apaixonada a escalada e o montanhismo há 27 anos. Já estive escalando em mais de 11 países (Chile, Argentina, Bolívia, Irlanda, Estados Unidos, Rússia, Austrália, Nova Zelândia, Espanha, Nepal, Canadá). Neste período participou também de expedições de alta montanha. Algumas expedições de alta montanha que já participou: 2007 no Nepal, para tentar escalar o Makalu, quinta montanha mais alta do Mundo com 8643m de altitude (Himalaya), onde chegou até 7000m. 2011 Amadablam Nepal 6856m chegou até 6000m. 2015 Denali Alaska, maior montanha da América do Norte 6093m.

Ligado à aventura e ao esporte, também já fez três grandes viagens de bicicleta (cicloturismo). 6 meses de bicicleta na Nova Zelândia, percorrendo 8000km. Em outra oportunidade uma viagem de 2750km em 3 meses nos Pirineus, percorrendo pelas montanhas quase toda a divisa entre a Espanha e a França. E em 2008 sozinho, viajou de bicicleta no Canadá, saindo de Vancouver (costa Oeste) e seguindo em direção Nordeste, cruzando 2 cadeias de montanhas (Coastal Mountains e Rocky Mountains (Rochosas) ) até chegar em Banff e Canmore, depois de 1300km de pedal.

Atua profissionalmente com fotografia, já tendo produzido no passado filmes de montanha. Estudou cinema na Academia Internacional de Cinema (AIC). Já produziu diversos filmes de montanha. Com 2 filmes selecionados em anos diferentes no Festival Internacional de Filmes de Montanha do Rio (Escalando em Cochamó e Pedindo por Clemenzo). Em 2008 pedindo por Clemenzo foi selecionado finalista no Squamish Mountain Festival, no Canadá em 2008. Já teve fotografias selecionadas em Concursos e utilizadas em publicações de diversos tipos.

Também já atuou como professor universitário, por 8 anos, nos cursos de Engenharia Mecatrônica, Engenharia de Produção e Administração na PUCPR em Curitiba. Foi diversas vezes homenageado pelos alunos: Professor Homenageado três vezes, Paraninfo duas vezes e Patrono da turma uma vez.

Atualmente seu foco de trabalho está no desenvolvimento humano e na fotografia, e de uma forma mais ampla como facilitador de mudanças e perspectivas nas pessoas. No desenvolvimento humano trabalha desde 2007 como consultor da Ação Criativa, palestrante e facilitador em treinamentos experienciais e team building. Em sua palestra aborda o tema mudança com base em sua experiência de vida e aventuras.  

Como fotógrafo já fez diversos tipos de trabalho, até mesmo foto publicitária, mas realmente se encontrou e é apaixonado pela fotografia de Natureza.

    2011 → 2015 .:. As NOLS instructor, worked about 90 weeks in the field within this years. Worked Mountaineering, Rock Climbing, Hiking and Leave No Trace course types. Worked in USA-Alaska, Chile-Patagonia, USA-Wyoming and Brazil-Amazon. • Developed the rock climbing in Chile Chico area (Chile) setting up 4 new routes in Cerro Colorado, Reserva Nacional Lago Jeinimeni. • Climbed in 2015 Mount Denali, in Alaska, altitude 6093m, tallest mountain in North America.


    2009  →  2010 .:. Expedition to Ama Dablam (6853m) Nepal. Reached 6000m and turned back. 2008~ 2009 • 40 days rock climbing road trip in Brazil to Itatiaia RJ, São Bento do Sapucaí SP, Pedra do Baú SP, Gruta do Rei do Mato MG and Serra do Cipó MG. • Climbing trip to Canadá, climbing for 40 days in Squamish. • Solo bicycle trip in Canadá. Starting at Vancouver, trough HW99 - Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton, Lilloet, then HW1, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Revelstoke, Goldem, Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore. 1300km pedaling, crossed the Coastal Mountains and the Rocky Mountains


    2007  →  2008 .:. Expedition to climb Makalu (8463m, quinta mais alta da Terra) Himalaya-Nepal. Reached 7000m. • Expedition to climb Baruntse (7129m) Himalaya-Nepal. Reached 6300m.
 • Bicycle trip in Spain, trough the Pirineus Mnt Range from Pamplona to the Mediterranean Sea(Cap de Creus), 2750Km.


    2005  →  2006 .:. Rockclimbing in Cerro Catedral, Bariloche - Argentina, in this trip produced the film “Pedindo por Clemenzo”. • Alpine rockclimbing in South Patagonia Patagônia, Chaltén area– Argentina, attemped to climb Fitz Roy e Agulha San Raphael (no summit for both).
• Rockclimbing and movie crew in Salinas/Três Picos – Friburgo RJ, working for the documentary “Leste” produced by Montanhar/Priscilla Botto.

     Instructor for National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS http://nols.edu), worked about 90weeks in the field to present date. AVA1-Level 1 Avalanche certificate WFR-first aid certification, wilderness first responder. 80hours training. Got the first certification in 2011, and got re-certificated three times since then. Expires 24-Sep-2017

    November 2005 → present date .:. Facilitator in outdoor experiential education programs for companies, focused on team work. Work as contractor/freelance for different partners, the main ones: Ação Criativa (acaocriativa.com) and MH Consult (mhconsult.com.br).

    January 2001 → December 2006 .:. Professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUC PR) www.pucpr.br on the subjects Programming Techniques I e II, Industrial Management, Database Systems and Introduction to Computer Science to engineering courses. During this period, he was chosen by the graduating students: 2 times Honored Teacher and Patron Speaker 3 times.

    June of 1999 → August of 1999 .:. Contractor for Stefanini Consultoria in a partnership with Amatiri Consultoria, hired for a project, as technical team coordinator of a Intranet application development using Lotus Notes Domino. The application is to improve the communication between the General Motors do Brasil and the Dealers network, using a corporative intranet.

    February of 1999 → 2000 .:. Teacher at Barretos University - SP for the subjects: 'Systems for Organization and Methods' and 'Production Administration'. Honored Teacher for the students undergraduating in 2000.

    1998 → 2005 .:. Web designer and editor of a Brazilian Web Climbing Magazine, the Hang On: http://www.HangOn.com.br The site was sponsored by Serelepe (gear importer), Pé na Trilha (gear shop from São Paulo city) and Snake (outdoor footwear).

    October 1996 → 1997 .:. Network administrator of a Computer Graphic and Digital Photo Creation Studio, the Vistarte. Maurício also worked designing and implementing Web pages. March of 98 Released the first edition of the Cuscuzeiro Rock Climbing Guide. It was created and edited by Maurício Clauzet, and it's currently in the 3th Edition.     March of 1995 → October of 1996 .:. Maurício worked as a software localizer for the Microsoft vendor PTC. PTC currently is Gecap Seattle. During this period he lived in Dublin-Ireland for 4 months and the rest in Seattle, WA - USA. In US he worked under a H1B visa. He got involved with the following localization projects: MS Works 4.0 - He worked as localizer and coordinator of the tester's team. MS Exchange 4.0 - He worked as localizer, tester and technical responsible for installation and maintenance of the server and clients computers for testing at the vendor's site. MS Soccer - Vendor internal project manager and localizer of the graphical components (Adobe PhotoShop used as localization tool). Infra Red driver for Windows 95 - Tester and technical review of the translation and glossary. Windows NT 4.0 - Maurício evaluated and created reports for MS about the technical quality of the translation of the help files, translated by another vendor. Also at PTC, Maurício developed, using MS Access, a system to control the internal localization projects workflow. The system is installed at each localizers' workstation and accesses a central DB. Using the system it's possible for the project manager to track the status of files and tasks, and the time spent on each one.

    1992 → September of 1994 .:. Maurício obtained a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, Campus of São Carlos - SP - Brazil. The title of his dissertation was “Desenvolvimento de um sistema para programação visual e controle da produção assistidos por computador” (Trans.: Development of a system for visual computer aided production scheduling and control). The software was developed with the help of four undergraduate computer science students with scholarship and coordinated by Maurício. The project was carried out under the object oriented paradigm. Analysis and design used Coad & Yourdon method and implementation used Borland C++ and Zinc Interface Library.

    1991 → 1993 .:. Practical work at Siemens in production data collection, scheduling and control systems area. He was in charge for technical support on implementation of the Siemens FMS300 system, for shop floor data collection and production scheduling and control. 1987 - December of 1991: Maurício graduated in Mechanical Industrial Engineering at USP - Universidade de São Paulo, Campus of São Carlos - SP - Brazil. 1988 - 1990: While studying in the university, Maurício worked on weekends as guide for some limestone caves of the Alto Ribeira State Park-SP, mainly for educational excursions of colleges (people age around 12~15 years).

    1991 → 1994 .:. Coordinator of Leitstand System (finite production planning and control) - development team of CIM Project coordinated by Prof. Henrique Rozenfeld, Dr.-Ing. 1991 - 1992: Intern at Siemens implanting and testing systems for production data collection, scheduling and control.
